Crush

Posted on November 15, 2011 Written by Tonya

It’s inevitable.

Bound to happen, as it does to all of us.

For some, it happens sooner rather than later. Much later.

I was in the second grade.

His name was (and is, we are now Facebook friends) Scott Brewer.

Lucas has been in preschool since August and has adjusted very well. He attends three days a week for three hours each day.

He’s braved the last 10 days without a lovey. This is HUGE!

He loves his teacher and has made friends. I have to smile when upon arriving each day how many of classmates greet him.

I have a roster of all the children in his class and we review it daily.

There are 24 boys and girls in Room 2, but only one that makes him light up like a Christmas tree.

Her name is Sophia.

Ahhhh! That is super cute. Mattias was two, her name was Gianna. His preschool took pictures of them “reading” books together and even smooching. She and her family moved away and he doesn’t remember her any more. Last year he and Natalie liked each other. They would make kissy faces at each other during nap time (I was told). Natalie’s mom didn’t think it was “appropriate”, clearly didn’t see the sweetness in it and seemed really happy that her daughter was leaving the school to start kindergarten. He doesn’t have a crush this year. 🙁

Ooh. Asher and I were just talking about his preschool crush last night (he’s 8 now). We teased him that he only really liked her because her dad had a truck with flames on it. He was very loyal though, he called her his girlfriend for a year after she changed schools.

Have fun with this, they are so innocent and adorable at this age. Soon, you won’t think the girls chasing your little boy are that cute!
