Happy New Year!

Posted on January 2, 2012 Written by Tonya

Once upon a time…

There’s something magical about a beginning.

A fresh start.

A different approach.

A new way of looking at things.

A promise of things to come.

My Letters For Lucas tag line used to be: The best is yet to be and I still believe that. Wholeheartedly.

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions anymore, but I do several things each and every January 1 to get ready for the year ahead…. I start using a new tooth brush and new tube of mascara, I wash all my make up brushes, put a new box of Arm & Hammer baking soda in the refrigerator, mail our holiday thank you cards and fill out a new paper calendar (I’m old school that way).

This year, I want more of the same… to go a little easier on myself and those around me, breathe a little deeper, love a little stronger, hold on a little tighter, learn to live in the moment and drink more water.

I’m expecting BIG things from 2012, not withstanding a little work on my part.

I hope your New Year is off to a fabulous start and that everything you set out to do this year happens just the way it’s meant to.

I do not make NY’s resolutions either. I often reflect on how my previous year went and what I hope for in the new year but my goals, they never change and I make my resolutions daily. I always thought that goals you only make or change once a year are too rigid and often too grand to keep up with. Goals should be reflected on often and adjusted as needed to have success 🙂

    Happy New YEar!

Reflection is a good think. We can’t possibly know where we’re going unless we know where we’ve been!

Wishing you all the very best in 2012. 🙂

      Thanks!

I do a lot of other really anal retentive things too that I’d rather not share (flip mattresses, decide we need all new bedding and spend two hours picking it out, etc.).

      Looking forward to 2012!

Like I already said on the facebook pic of you.. You look amazing!

I actually think I’m going to tackle resolutions this year. I haven’t done one in a long, long time but I want 2012 to be amazing so I’m setting big goals.

I love the fresh start of a new year as well. I’m especially excited because this year I’m connecting with so many amazing people and I get to hear all about their lives as well as share mine.

Your tube of mascara and toothbrush thing is brilliant!

Come on 2012, bring it!!!!!! That is such a great picture of you! I took a similar one with a 2012 crown on on New Years Eve and it ended up being super dorky so I just deleted it. :p

Cute pic. I like the way you start a new year although I have to admit I still like making resolutions. I’m kind of a list oriented person anyway. If I don’t write something down I totally forget about it.

Btw, found you on SITS. My husband’s name is Lucas. 🙂
